DEALING WITH THE ENEMY FROM WITHIN
No other religion is, or ever has been under so much persecution and attack as Christianity and Christians. Christianity is not only attacked from the outside by atheist's and other religions, but from within by it's own members as well. The Church is literally committing suicide from the inside out.
While the Ten Commandments are being taken out of our court houses, and crosses are being banned from government property and cemeteries
(Property that "you" pay for), and the bible is being taken out of the public (government) school system, the Church in general ignores these attacks, but instead, focuses it's attention on ridiculous things like Harry Potter, Whether or not you should have a Christmas tree and whether women should be allowed to wear makeup or preach in Church, to name just a few.
Under the veil of political correctness, our most sacred national holiday is now being referred to as "Happy Holidays" as opposed to "Merry Christmas". The "Christmas day parade" is now referred to as the "Holiday Parade" and the "Christmas Tree" is now being called the "Holiday Tree".
It seems to be acceptable to the Church that Jesus Christ is being literally publicly trashed and Blasphemed against, but may God have mercy on your soul if you did not give 10% of your earnings to the Lord this month. (10% that strangely ends up in your pastors pocket and not the Lords)
~ CHRISTIAN'S UNDER ATTACK ~
I'm going to point out a few things to you. Reverse discrimination does not seem to be limited to racial issues only. It seems to offend the atheists and other religions, that Jesus Christ claimed that "he" is the only way into heaven. Granted, "I" believe that or I wouldn't have started Power of Faith Ministries to begin with. However, if you don't believe it, simply don't join this religion or become a Christian.
We Christians are under obligation by God to spread the gospel, but no one is forced to join or accept Jesus Christ as their savior. Because of the fact that no one is forced or pressured to be a Christian, makes this probably the most non-threatening religion on earth. Christians share the gospel for two reasons. One because Christ told us to go into all the world and preach the gospel, the second is because we have found a "good thing" and wish to share it out of love.
~ THE SAD TRUTH ~
Make no mistake, Christians "are" under attack! While no one is forced to become a Christian, and Christians do not force their ways on the rest of the nation (hey! You are free to be an atheist), some religions expect us to change our society to suit them or their religion. Muslim's expect our country to disrupt our entire public school system to include an hour off devoted to prayer.
Of course we respect other religions, but there is a place already designated for the purpose, it's called a Mosque, or even the privacy of their homes. Buy all means, worship as you will within your own Mosque or religion. However, the public school system was not built for the purpose of being your "Holy Place". If this somehow does not work hand in hand with your religion, there is an alternative. It's called "Home Schooling".
Neither should our public restrooms be altered with special accoutrements to accommodate the Muslim's or any other "single" religion. Buy all means, if you are convinced that your religion is the right way, then live it and be an example for others. "That" is the best recruiting tool you could possibly have, no matter what faith you are dedicated to, but stop forcing others to live your religion.
Christians do not insist that we have communion plates set up in every restaurant in America, but any Christian can partake of the bread and the wine (or grape juice) in any restaurant in America, whenever they please.
Hindu's do not insist that we ban beef in America because Cows are sacred to them and their religion, but they are free not to eat anything that they feel violates their beliefs.
Other religions that believe in reincarnation do not insist that a law should be passed that would prohibit anyone in America from even stepping on a worm. However, they are free to carefully watch their steps when they walk freely on American soil.
~ CHANGING AMERICA ~
It is my sincere hope that anyone reading what I write, would come to know Jesus Christ personally. However, no one is forced to be a Christian. Even if I had the power to force everyone to be a Christian, I wouldn't and I couldn't. Your relationship with God is personal. You have to believe and accept Christ as your savior. If I forced you, you wouldn't be saved anyway, as it is a "choice" that YOU have to make, and no one can make it for you.
Certainly, if I don't believe in forcing my own beliefs on people, I am absolutely "not" in favor of having religious views or practices forced on me! Especially by people of a religion that believes that you should be killed if you don't worship their God, or even their prophet.
~ THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION ~
If the Muslim religion offends you, then don't visit their Mosque on Sunday morning. It's that simple. When they celebrate Ramadan, I say good for them. And if someone says to me "Happy Ramadan", that's fine with me. It doesn't offend me, and it shouldn't. If it makes them happy, I'm happy for them, as long as they are not forcing me to celebrate it too.
If someone says to you "Happy Hanukkah" , I say wonderful. It's not like someone called you a bastard or something. Personally, I think something is missing from their holiday (Jesus), but it is "their holiday". If they say anything to me out of good cheer, I say "God Bless Them".
~ WAKE UP AMERICA ~
A rose by any other name will smell just as sweet, and Christmas is what it is. It is not just simply a holiday, it is the day we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. The birth of Christ is what this day was intended for, and nothing else. If you don't believe in Jesus Christ the son of the living God, then by all means, feel free to opt out and not celebrate this day. No one is forcing you. This is a free country and not only is no one forced to be a Christian, it's impossible to force anyone to be one. You either accept Christ, or you do not. It's that simple.
Christmas is what it is, and it will not be changed to suit anyone except Christ himself. If you are a Christian and some department store greeter says "Happy Holidays" to you, your reply should be "Merry Christmas to you too", or don't reply at all. To appease the person who says this to you with a reply of "Happy Holidays" is to deny Christ. After all, it "IS" Christmas. If you still don't know what Christmas is all about, I'll give you a hint. (What does the first 6 letters of the word Christmas spell)
Matthew 10:33 - "But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven.
Matthew 10:34 - "Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.
