~ THOU SHALT NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS ~
As hard as they are to find, there are some honest politicians and lawyers so this clearly doesn't apply to "all" of them. Actually that's not true. They are actually pretty easy to find. The honest lawyer is the one struggling with a law practice that can barely pay his office rent in the low rent district of town, and the honest politician is probably the guy who just lost the last election. The truth is, "we" (God's people) don't often reward honesty. We may want to vote for the candidate who tells us the truth, but when it comes time to pull the lever in the voting booth, we don't really like the truth, and we tend to go for the lesser of two evils and the "S.O.B" that we think, will "Beat the other guy". Some people vote simply based on the candidates religion. This of course has a positive "and" negative side to it. For instance, some may vote for a candidate solely because they are a Christian, while others will vote against them solely because they are a Christian. Some people will vote for a candidate based solely on their race, while others will vote against them because of their race! People who vote solely on one of the two examples above, and not on the merits of the candidate, deserve exactly what they end up with. You see, the truth doesn't seem important anymore, and doesn't seem to matter these days. Strangely, we embrace the lying and un-truths when it comes from the mouths of our attorney's and politicians when we think it benefits us, but when we find ourselves on the receiving end, we yell at God asking why he would permit such a thing! These days, to accuse a spouse of "Child Abuse" is simply part of the Game! Just a tool used to gain full custody of our children in a divorce case, while totally disregarding the devastating effects it has on the other person for the rest of their life. Strangely, we embrace (and vote
for) the politician because of their religion, race, or party, even when
it tends to destroy our country and take away our rights and freedoms. YESTERDAY, TODAY AND TOMORROW
Hebrews 13:8 - Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.You have also heard it said that to God, a thousand years is a day, and a day is one thousand years! 2 Peter 3:8 - But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day. So keep in mind (seriously), when God wrote "you should not lie", along with the other 9 commandments, to God, it was only four (4) days ago! Exodus 20:16 - "You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. It was literally "Written in Stone". The point is, if you lie, cheat or steal, on any level, or support those who do (Politicians & attorneys), don't yell at God when you find that your spouse has been cheating on you. She was simply performing within the standards that you set for your family. Exactly when did we do away with the commandments? We seem to simply consider them to be "Little White Lies" these days, but guess what? God does not! Are you in need of healing? Do you need a miracle? Are you going through a divorce? Are your prayers being heard? If you are in need of any of these things, and it seems that your prayers are falling on deaf ears, you "can" fix it! Have a personal relationship with God, and "Be Righteous" What is being righteous? Righteous simply means "Doing what God considers to be right". The ten commandments are a good place to start, and a personal relationship is a great place to end up. Then your prayers will be heard! James 5:16 - Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. (NIV)Exactly when, and at what point did we override God's authority and re-write the commandment: "Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour"? When did we decide that this commandment was not important anymore? Who is your neighbor? Just look around you. If you can see them, they are your neighbor. Dan

Don't like politicians and lawyers?
You know what they say: "Just ride it out, because you probably won't see allot of
them in heaven anyway". Gee, that's a pretty harsh statement isn't it? Shame on me for judging a group of people when the bible clearly says:
"Judge
not, that ye be not judged!".
