Jeremiah 32:27 - Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?

~ SOCIAL JUSTICE AND THE LORD ~

SOCIAL JUSTICE - Surely this article will ruffle a few feathers, but that's what the truth does. If you've been visiting this website for very long, then you already know that it's not about money or popularity, just the truth. When you became a Christian and devoted your life to Christ, you did not enter into a democracy or a republic.

Now that you are a Christian, you do not vote for your leader, and he is not chosen by the majority of the people. On the contrary, you do not choose the leader, the leader chooses you! God is "not" as a public servant, elected to represent you, he is a King, and you are one of his subjects.

A great number of the modern day Churches have adopted the philosophy

that social justice was the mission of Jesus Christ when he walked the earth over 2,000 years ago. Others weave social justice into Christ's mission as though it were a part of it. I hate to be the one to break it to you but, Jesus did not come to free the slaves and right all of societies wrongs here on earth.

Preachers all want you to believe that God is sitting up there just wringing his hands worrying about the situation you are currently going through. The truth is, God will not pay very much attention to your situation until "you" start asking him to. God is not as concerned about your current situation as he is concerned about how you conduct yourself and react while you are in your current situation.

Jesus did not come to earth and immediately say "SLAVE MASTERS! LET YOUR SLAVES GO IMMEDIATELY!!" Instead he said:

Matthew 10:24 - "A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a slave above his master.

Additionally, Paul wrote:

Colossians 3:22 - Slaves, in all things obey those who are your masters on earth, not with external service, as those who merely please men, but with sincerity of heart, fearing the Lord.

My point is, using slavery only as one example out of many, lets say hypothetically that you are a slave. If you pray day and night for God to set you free from this earthly slavery, he probably will, but that doesn't mean the he will abolish slavery period. Similarly, many men and women use the excuse that their spouse is not a Christian or a believer, so they can feel justified in getting a divorce. Again, God does not care as much about your current situation as he does how you conduct yourself in your current situation.

PLEASE NOTE:
This example is not to suggest in any way that Jesus gave his stamp of approval to slavery. This also should not be misinterpreted that "I" am commending slavery. It is simply one example of many to point out that Christ was more concerned with our eternal soul than our earthly situations.
Jesus was (and is) the King of Kings, yet he did not over throw Caesar and take over his throne. Jesus surely had the power and authority to right all of the wrongs on earth, but his focus was our eternal salvation and our relationship with him.

Many claim that Jesus was a Liberal and try to link him with political correctness and social justice. This simply isn't true! Liberalism, political correctness and social justice are usually wolves in sheep's clothing. They all claim to be designed to create equality for everyone, while singling out certain groups of people for special treatment over the rest. The "Hate Crimes Bill" is a great example of this. Affirmative action is another.

The truth is, you cannot link the word "Social" with God, unless it has to do with his plan for the Church, and that mostly has to do with Christians worshiping God and edifying each other. That is the purpose of communing and gathering together. Where your relationship with God is concerned, the word "social" has little to do with it. Your relationship with him is "PERSONAL" not Social!

The Lord "is" a God of justice! The problem is, there are way too many people with political agendas trying to pull God off the throne of judgment and sit there themselves to satisfy a political agenda. Some of the social laws that we have are wonderful, while others are horribly ridiculous. But, have we forgotten that there "will" be a judgment day? God did not ordain any of us to be his policemen or hit men.

God gave us free will. Politicians are stealing your blessings right and left. Jesus said
(numerous times) to "give to the Poor". God even promises to bless you when you give to the poor (not to be mistaken for tithing), however, when you are taxed and your money is forcefully taken from you, and then given to the poor, Guess what? You do not receive any blessing from God for it. Why? Because it was taken from you. You didn't give it from your heart.

Similarly, If you are forced to be kind to another person because of their race, it's not from the heart, and you receive "no" reward!

BEWARE of "Social Justice" within the Church! It doesn't belong there and it has no place according to scripture. Even the Catholic Church has jumped on this political bandwagon, all in the name of "What would Jesus Do". They apparently felt that the 7 deadly sins weren't good enough (or bad enough), they created "7 New Deadly Sins".
(All politically correct) Guess what one of them has to do with? You guessed it - "Social Justice". (Click here to read my article on the Seven New Deadly Sins)

Although I have no doubt that the Catholic Church had good intentions, they have opened a political Pandora's Box that can not easily be closed by teaching this to their congregations. Out of ignorance, the churches have once again said: "God Said", when God didn't say! If we really want to know what God is saying to us, maybe we should stop trying to mold him to be more like us. Instead, maybe we should shut up and listen.

Sounds like a plan!

~ THE TRUTH HURTS ~
That's why Preachers Don't Tell It!

Power of Faith Ministries is only about the truth. The truth is, "God is "NOT" politically correct, and Jesus did not come to bring about Social Justice". The modern day Catholic Church has even made social justice one of their "new" 7 deadly sins. However, there is nothing biblical or scriptural to support this. It is simply a political agenda.

BEWARE OF THE SOCIAL JUSTICE MESSAGE WITHIN THE CHURCH - IT IS POLITICAL - NOT BIBLICAL!
